Note the large friendly letters.

I tossed a lot of new information at you in the last class. If you didn't memorize it all on the fly, no worries.
It was an overview, just to give you the flavor of the Japanese language and of what we'll be covering from now on.

From now on, I'll start each language lesson with a review of what we covered in the previous class.
We'll also do some exercises that you can participate in.

Remember: It's all about PARTICIPATION.

SPEAK Japanese whenever you can. In class. With one another outside of class.
Say "Konnichiwa" and bow to people on the street.
(Take pictures! Their reactions should be priceless)

LISTEN to Japanese. Often. While you're doing other things. While you're going to sleep. Whenever you can.
Even if you don't understand WHAT you're listening to, try to distinguish the individual words. Look them up if you can.
Get used to the sounds, the rhythm of the language.

Anime, podcasts, internet radio . . . there's plenty of Japanese out there. Point your ears at it.
