A typical Japanese consists of a SUBJECT (marked by a subject-marker or particle, wa, written with the character ha).
Then comes the OBJECT (marked by the object-marker particle o, written with the wo character).
And finally the verb.
And maybe a question-marker particle, ka, at the end.

It takes a little getting used to, this idea of not knowing someone's asking you a question until the sentence is finished.
But generally you'll know from context long before you get to the "ka".
