Eating.
Finding your way back to the hotel when you get separated from us.

These are all REALLY useful things to be able to do.
And they're SO much easier to do them in Japan when you can do them in Japanese.

And don't forget the homestay. A little Japanese goes a long long way.

So that's what we'll be concentrating on. Basic traveler's Japanese.

Don't forget to pick up a dictionary (dead-tree, smartphone) of some kind.
