Notes:

There won't be any Japanese tests in class, but we expect you to participate and to demonstrate that you've spent some time on it away from class.
But don't get hung up on perfection �

One of our kids told me that my Japanese improved noticeably after I'd had some sake. Or beer. Or �

And it's true. If you worry too much about getting it right, it's hard to get it out at all.
You must have met foreigners who completely mangled English; but you got the idea, right?

The same is true of Japanese.
You can twist it and turn it and generally brutalize it without really breaking it so badly that a native speaker can't understand you.

So relax. Talk.
